All our junior sessions tie in with the National Curriculum physical education programmes Key stage 1, 2 and 3 and NICAS and climbing is listed in the GCSE PE specification and is based around the NICAS qualification.
We can provide both educational and/or activity based sessions for schools with children age 4 and up.
Highball is an awarding centre for both NICAS and NIBAS – national awarding schemes for junior climbers. Both schemes have 5 levels of achievement and focus on safety, technical climbing and personal development. Level 5 is widely regarded as GCSE level.
We can design bespoke programs for both of these schemes for schools who wish to add climbing to their school’s programme.
