As you guys may have noticed THE BIG FLASH FESTIVAL registration has been open for a few weeks now. There are still spaces to register to compete within the main Flash championship but also the Nukids competition. Did you know though, if you register for the Nukids competition as well as The Flash then you will receive a unique one use code that will give you 50% off the Flash registration. Obviously don’t feel obliged to use the discount code as ALL registration fees go to our chosen charities.
With a total of £5000 cash prizes over the weekend there chances for everyone to win something
Over the last 6 years we have run this climbing festival with the aim to raise as much money as possible for different charities each year, totalling at over £20,000! This year we are supporting Climbers Against Climbers and Climb Alongside Suicide and Mental Health.
Even if you’re not thinking of competing why not come down and try out what else we have on offer. A festival wouldn’t be a festival without food! Wood-fired pizzas and hog roast will be available. Also we offer a range of BrewDog beverages for your enjoyment, beers available after you have finished your climbing for the day. Other aspects include a stall from DMM, Tenaya boot demo and a Zlagboard hanging competition. Its not all about climbing though, with plenty of other fun and engaging stalls to jump into, why not come and have a look around and watch some World Class climbers right here in Norfolk.

As we move further and further through the year we often need to think about another pair of shoes, which actually have an edge, or maybe even trying a new type of chalk beacuse we all know there’s so many different types to choose from!
Friction Labs are in the house on the 18th October to help answer all those chalk questions you guys may have but also give you more info about their top quality chalk. Friction labs will be bringing some samples for those of you who haven’t tried the formula before, stickers posters and maybe even a special offer on the night.
Guess who’s back? Back again? Scarpa’s back, back with their treds! Thats right, Scarpa will be around all evening on the 18th October, alongside Friction Labs, with their awesome range of shoes for all you lovely people. So if you’re thinking about treating yourself to a new pair of boots or still unsure about which shoe is right for you then this is the night to come for a climb. The reps will be able to point you in the right direction and give you that needed advice, we’re pretty confident they know their shoes rather well.

Being a one man band at the minute Sam has been jiggling around with the menu and options available from the Café. Here is a reminder of what has changed recently.
Wednesdays are going to be hosting hot food nights! Each week will be a differ with what is on offer with the first instalment last week being vegan Chilli, but its time for some warm food again as we prepare for the colder months!
A new pizza menu, with reduced prices! Sam has rejiggered the pizzas to make them cheaper, whilst retaining our great, handmade wood-fired quality. Niiiice.
No more weekend brunch, we’re giving the brunch a break, but there will still be plenty of snacks and cakes in the cafe!
A exciting new menu for Autumn featuring more savoury lunch bakes, to be released soon!
“Build yer own toooooastie”, these are Sams own words. The lovey toasties are now featuring excellent add-ons to choose from!
New sausage roll flavours, and considering the three we have already are great, this should be some kind of food-magic.
Rob Napier, Tom and Guy set a solid round 6 and Grand Final around the whole centre. Some new style volumes made an appearance in the squad zone, which had some great feedback from the regulars! Everyone brought that amazing community spirit as always, keeping that vibe alive all the way through the comp.
The Grand Final was an awesome atmosphere, with a very full and excitable crowd, cheering on all the competitors all the way through! We had our Squad member Sam being our final photographer for the event, nice work Sam. Pictures to follow soon!
The Summer Bouldering League final results:
MALE: 1st – Andrius Zukas. 2nd – Bradley Diggins. 3rd – Sam Maddox.
FEMALE: 1st – Tilly Reed. 2nd – Katie Fisher. 3rd – Lily Bird.
A full write up of the event will be shared soon! Keep your eyes pealed!
We’re just short of a target of 100 reviews on Trip Advisor, and have been awarded a centre of excellence! If you have 5 minutes, and feel we deserve a review, pop on there and give us a quite write-up! You’d be doing us a huge favour.
